Somatic Movement classes
‘Somatic movement’: to move with awareness on internal experience rather than external appearance.
A space to slide and glide, roll, find grounding and levity, and balance. These classes are based in the somatic approach of Body-Mind Centering®, where we embody our various body systems (muscles, bones, ligaments & fascia, organs, fluids, endocrine and nervous systems) and explore developmental movement patterns. We’ll notice where we feel ‘holding’ or ‘clunky’ and, through exploratory movement, discover new sources of support, greater movement potential, and ease. Rather than striving to ‘get better’ at something, our somatic practice encourages us to be generous with who we are, right now.
